Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Name — first name (and any name you provide) so the store can identify your hold at pickup.
• Phone number — so we can send transactional texts about your hold, and so store staff can reach you if needed.
• Hold items — the products, sizes, quantities, pickup method, and optional notes you submit when placing a hold.
• Browsing on this site — if Remember my browsing is on. Details are in the next section. We do not sell these notes or share them with advertisers.
• Store floor contact details (including a floor phone) that merchants enter in the floor desk so LoclStreet can notify them of new holds. A separate phone, a short about, and a staff photo are optional and show on the shopper site only when the merchant saves them. That phone is not used for texts.

Remember my browsing

One choice covers both places we remember browsing. The first time we do, a short notice offers Turn off and Got it. The same Turn off and Clear browsing history controls stay on the related-items row and in the footer.

• On this device — up to 20 ids of items you open, and when you opened them, in this browser’s local storage (loclstreet-viewed). Each id drops off after 30 days. The home page uses the category, store, and tags of those items, from the public catalog already on the page, to show “Related to items you’ve viewed.” That list of ids is not sent to us to store.
• On our server — a first-party cookie named loclstreet_vid and a short note in our database. When you view an item, search, or browse a department or store, the note stores the item, store, or category. It does not store the words you typed, your IP address, or a copy of your device. If you sign in with Google, the note can also be tied to your account. We keep these notes for 90 days. They choose “Picked for you” and, together with everyone’s holds and pickups, what is trending. A department browse by itself does not fill Picked for you.
• Holds and pickups — still saved either way, because the store needs them to hand you the items. Turning remembering off does not cancel a hold.
• How to turn it off — choose Turn off on the notice, the related row, or the footer. We stop saving item ids on this device, we stop writing view, search, and browse notes, and we remove the visitor cookie. Signing in does not turn that back on. Picked for you then shows what is trending, not a list built from your browsing. We also do this when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Turn on starts remembering again, unless one of those signals is on.
• How to clear it — choose Clear browsing history on the row or in the footer. That removes the item ids on this device, deletes the server notes tied to this browser’s visitor id, and removes the cookie. After Turn off, we keep that id only so Clear can still find those notes. We do not use it to record new browsing or to choose items.
• Not sold or shared — browsing notes and the on-device list are not sold and not shared with stores, advertisers, or anyone else.

How we use it

We use hold information to fulfill hold-for-pickup: create and manage holds, show them to the store floor desk, and send transactional SMS only (for example: hold-ready texts to shoppers; new-hold texts to store floor phones). We do not use your mobile number for advertising or promotional campaigns. When Remember my browsing is on, browsing notes choose items on the home page and show the floor owner which items, stores, and categories are busy. They are not sold and not used for ads or promotional texts. When it is off, Picked for you shows what is trending instead.

Sharing

No mobile information or SMS messaging consent will be shared, sold, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share hold details with the store you chose so they can pull your items. We use Twilio and wireless carriers as delivery processors solely to deliver transactional SMS — not for their own marketing. They are not permitted to use your number or messaging consent for marketing or promotional purposes.

Retention & choices

Hold records are kept as long as needed to complete pickup and run the service. Reply STOP to any LoclStreet text to opt out of SMS; reply HELP for help. You can also email us (below) to ask about your hold data.

Shopping in a town

The “Shopping in” chip remembers a town, including the state, in this browser only (loclstreet-town). We do not write that choice, or your coordinates, into our database. If you allow location, the browser uses it once to suggest a town. When that point is near a town we already know, it never leaves your device. If it is not, we send the coordinates to our server for a single lookup against OpenStreetMap, cache the town name, and do not keep the coordinates. If you decline location, we start you in Richfield, UT. You can switch towns anytime. The mini map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap.
